Helping Artists Tell Their Story

Through Records

Production, arrangement, and creative direction for artists looking to bring their songs to life without losing what made them special in the first place.

Records built around stories worth telling

Every record begins with a song. Through collaboration, arrangement, and production, those songs gradually find their final form.

From Song To Record

Izzy Jones - “Why is My Heart California?

Izzy had left California, wondering what was so special about the place she had left. From her demo we imagined what if the Flying Burrito Brothers were hanging out with The Beach Boys in a dream.

Therese Curatolo - “Another Day”

Therese and I love the Beatles. Her demo already carried the song’s pulse. My job was to help it take flight and bring listeners along for the journey, while imagining what might happen if Paul invited George to add a little slide guitar.

Audrey ii - “Coffee”

Audrey's demo carried the weight of the lyric from the start. Rather than dwelling in that feeling, I wanted to turn the song into an anthem. The verses remain intimate, while the chorus opens up and turns the dial up on it’s message.

My Process

From early demos to final masters, each phase is designed to serve the song and support
the artist's vision.

Phase 1: Song Development & Direction

Two men are in a recording studio with musical equipment. One is sitting at a keyboard, wearing headphones and a beige cap, looking down. The other, with long, curly hair, is standing, wearing a dark shirt, and talking to the seated man while gesturing with his hand. The studio has soundproof walls and some audio equipment.

Shaping the foundation.

We explore the songs in detail, focusing on structure, arrangements, references, and the emotional world of the record. Through demos and experimentation, we identify what each song is asking for and develop a clear direction for the project.

By the end of this phase, we have a shared roadmap for moving forward, ensuring every creative decision serves the songs and supports the story we're trying to tell

Phase 2: Production & Recording

Bringing the songs to life through performance and collaboration.

With a clear roadmap in place, we move into recording. This is where arrangements take shape, performances are captured, and the sonic identity of the record begins to emerge.

Whether working in a professional studio or building layers over time, the focus is always on serving the song. Together with a carefully selected team of musicians, we'll create performances that feel natural, emotionally connected, and true to the artist behind them.

This phase is about turning ideas into records while preserving the character and intention that made the songs worth recording in the first place.

Phase 3: Mixing, Mastering & Release

Bringing the project across the finish line

Once the recording process is finished, the songs are mixed and mastered into their final form. We review the details together, make adjustments where needed, and ensure the record remains aligned with the direction established at the beginning of the project.

The goal is not simply to finish individual songs, but to create a body of work that feels cohesive, intentional, and complete.

Beyond the music itself, I also help artists navigate the next stage of the process, from release planning and creative assets to building a rollout that supports the record and its story.

Let's Start With The Songs
Whether you have voice memos, rough demos, or a fully written record, the best place to begin is by listening. We'll talk about the songs, where they're at today, and what
they're capable of becoming.
